Battle for the circle — how it works

A competition that decides a guild's victory or defeat needs careful, all-round preparation. The point of a furious battle between two guilds is to strengthen the race as a whole, so take the competition seriously. Do not forget that you are fighting your own race's brothers — mind your conduct.

Preparing for the Battle for the Circle

The Battle for the Circle is a duel between two guilds, so it begins with a challenge.

STEP 1

The right to issue a challenge belongs to the guild council (the guild leader and the founders). Choosing Declare war on a guild in the [Management] menu brings up the following:

  1. Choosing an opponent: the guild you are challenging. You can challenge a guild of rank 2 or higher.
  2. Start time: choose when the battle takes place. It starts the next day at the appointed time (you cannot choose a time somebody else has already taken).
  3. Participants: you can set a particular number of participants, from 10 to 50 people.
  4. Map: choose the ground for the battle (the option of using several places is coming).

Payment: the entry fee for the battle. Each guild is charged 5,000 platinum. The money comes out of the guild's common account, so check that your guild has enough. (The winning guild receives 10,000 platinum.)

When you have finished the detailed setup, press the [Apply] button and the vote begins. Once the guild has agreed, the application is sent on to the opposing guild. If the vote passes, 5,000 platinum is taken from the guild's account as the entry fee for the Battle for the Circle.

STEP 2

STEP 2

After the challenging guild has held its vote and taken its decision, the proposal goes to the opponent for confirmation. If the opposing guild decides to accept the challenge, 5,000 platinum is taken from its account as the entry fee for the Battle for the Circle.

ATTENTION!
If either side does not have enough money in its account the competition cannot be held, so check your guild's balance. If the competition does not take place, each side gets its 5,000 platinum back.

STEP 3

The competition is confirmed the moment the challenged guild agrees to take part. At that same moment the entry fee of 5,000 platinum is taken from the account. The Clerk NPC at headquarters has the detailed schedule of competitions.

ATTENTION!
The Clerk also has the Battle for the Circle rankings and the points for the battle as it currently stands.

STEP 2

STEP 4

Five minutes before the start, a message asks you to confirm that you are taking part. Press [OK] to confirm. One minute before the start a countdown begins, and when it ends your character is carried automatically to the battlefield.

ATTENTION!
The order of entry depends on the number of participants in the battle. If the places are already full, pressing [OK] will not get you into the battle.

STEP 3

The interface

Once on the field of the Battle for the Circle, a participant sees this:

This interface appears only for those taking part in the battle; for everyone else it stays as usual.

How the competition works

The basic rule: whoever has more points wins. There are two ways to earn them.

Put the ball in the gate — +100 points

Thirty seconds after the competition starts, a gravity ball appears at random in one of three places. The team of whoever carries it to the opponent's gate receives 100 points. After a "goal" everyone is moved back to their own gate, and 30 seconds later the ball appears again. If someone takes the ball and fails to reach the target within 2 minutes, the ball disappears and reappears in one of the ball zones.

The gravity ball is picked up like any other item (press X or the space bar). A player who takes the ball glows red and is subject to the following restrictions:

  1. No potions other than HP potions may be used.
  2. The delay on every HP potion is 3.5 seconds.
  3. No attacks, forces or skills may be used.
  4. Other players cannot use skills or forces on the ball carrier (debuff class).
  5. Animuses and MAUs cannot be called (any already summoned are forced to withdraw).
  6. All skills and forces that summon anything are blocked (attempting one shows the message "a character holding the ball cannot summon").
  7. The moment the ball is picked up, all ongoing forces and skills are cancelled (the debuff class included).
  8. The ball carrier gains extra resistance to stun.
  9. If the carrier fails to bring the ball to the gate within 2 minutes, it disappears automatically and reappears at one of the 3 spawn points.
  10. Movement speed is capped at 3.0.

The lines on the field tell you where you are in enemy territory. If the player holding the ball dies, the ball bounces away to a spot not far from where the character fell.

Kill an opponent — +10 points

The competition lets members of one race attack each other, and there are points in it: putting down one opponent is worth 10 points. If a player with the resurrection mastery does not revive you, after 15 seconds you come back automatically and respawn at your team's gate. So put everything you have — strength, mastery and skill — into putting the opposition down.

If your character dies, neither status points nor experience are reduced, so compete and play with your whole heart.

The end of the competition

When the competition ends, everyone returns to headquarters, where the appropriate reward is waiting.

<Winning team>
— Reward: 10,000 platinum into the guild's account.
— Status points: each participant receives 2,000 SP (500 SP if there is no winner or loser).
— Military record: +1 win.
— Guild honour points: + the PvP status points earned.
— Warrior's certificate: collect 7 certificates and they make a "Warrior's box" with a 100% chance.

<Losing team>
— Status points: each participant receives 100 SP (500 SP if there is no winner or loser).
— Military record: +1 defeat.

Do not forget to cheer your opponent on after the competition — they are your brothers. That is how you bring your race success.

At the end of the week the top 5 guilds in the ranking table get the chance to take ownership of a city. If you want your guild to hold a city, fight the Battle for the Circle.
