Playing in a party

What is a party in RF Online?

A party is players who fight side by side, splitting the roles between them to reach a shared goal, such as fighting in a war territory for valuable items, where winning depends on the party as a whole. Playing in the same party is also how friendships between players tend to start.

Up to 8 players of different levels can join a party, and the spread between levels must be no more than 10. The player who creates the party becomes its leader and can use the party interface: accepting and removing players, and setting the loot policy.

Inviting someone

Pick the player you want in your party. Ctrl and left-click them, then choose Invite from the menu that appears.

Party bonuses

If one player in the party kills a monster, the whole team gets a 10% experience bonus. As the party grows, so do the extra bonuses the team can earn:

2 players: experience gained in the party is reduced.

3 to 7 players: experience is unchanged.

8 players: experience is considerably increased.

Joining a party

To join a party that already exists, find its leader and Ctrl and left-click them, then choose Join from the menu.

Careful. You can only join a party that has fewer than 8 players in it.

A player who receives an invitation sees a message in the corner of the screen. Press Yes to join.

Later on you will need a team that works well together to finish quests, so it is better to start building one early.

The party menu

Once you are in a party this menu appears.

1. The whole party may pick up items.

2. Only the leader may pick up items.

3. Every party member may pick up items in turn.

4. Hand leadership to a chosen party member.

5. Remove a chosen player from the party.

6. Leave the party, or close it to new players.

The party leader's mark

Hold Shift and click a character of another race, or a monster, and a light blue arrow appears above them. A target marked this way also shows on the radar. If the target is off screen, its direction shows as a light blue arrow on the radar, visible to the party leader only. One person can hold the powers of party leader, guild leader and race leader at the same time. Available to the party leader only.
