How do I install the game?

Press PLAY on rfonline.ai. The launcher downloads the game into a folder of your choice, checks every file and keeps it updated after that. On Windows this needs nothing else; on a Mac the launcher also fetches Wine on the first start.

What is a login and where do I get one?

Your login is the account name you choose when you create an account on rfonline.ai. The same name and password open the game.

Where do I get a password?

You set it yourself when you create the account on the site. The launcher signs in with it; the password never has to be typed into the game.

Can I run the game in a window?

Yes. The Display row in the launcher switches between full screen and a window and lets you pick the resolution.

Are there cheat codes for RF Online?

No. RF Online is an online game and everything happens on the server, so there are no cheat codes.

Something is being checked every time the game starts. Is that normal?

Yes. On every start the launcher compares your game folder with the server and downloads anything that is missing, outdated or damaged.

What are the system requirements?

Any Windows 10 or 11 PC from the last ten years runs the game with room to spare: it was written for a 1.5 GHz Pentium, 512 MB of memory and a Radeon 9600 class card. You need about 4.5 GB of disk space and an internet connection. On a Mac the game runs through Wine; see the launcher notes.

Why can't I connect to the update server?

Check your firewall or antivirus. The launcher talks to the site over HTTPS (port 443), and the game uses ports 10001 and 27780. Allow them and try again.

Can I change the screen resolution?

Yes, in the launcher's Display row. The change applies the next time the game starts.

I forgot my password. What now?

Write to us through the Contact page with your account name. If you set a recovery e-mail on your account page, mention it.

I enter my login and password and get an error about wrong data.

Check the keyboard language and Caps Lock. If the data is right and it still fails, write to us through the Contact page.

I press Enter game and nothing happens.

Make sure the launcher says the game is up to date, and that nothing blocks RF_Online.bin. If it keeps failing, write to us through the Contact page with the launcher log.

Can I play without an internet connection?

No. RF Online is an online game only; there is no single-player mode.

I get error 183 when connecting.
