Mining
Can my automatic mining machine be attacked? How would I know?
Yes. If system messages are on, you get one with every hit.
How do I mine ore?
You need a mining tool (sold by the Ore Refiner in the starting city) and a battery (three kinds; the dearer, the longer it lasts). Then teleport to the mines from the starting city. Near the mines you will see small crystals on the ground: walk up to one, equip the mining tool, pick the ore colour matching the crystals and press Start mining.
How do I repair an automatic mining machine?
You can't. If it is destroyed, buy a new one.
Is the automatic machine faster than the hand tool?
A little slower, but more effective in the centre of the mines.
What types of ore are there?
Three: +1, +2, +3. The higher the grade, the more it sells for and the better the materials it refines into.
What do I do with ore?
Hand it to the Ore Refiner: sell it, or refine it. Refining costs a lot, but gives refined ore that sells for Gold or goes into crafting, and may yield talics, gems and even jade.
What is an automatic mining machine?
A machine that mines ore without your presence.
What is the difference between ore colours?
None unless you craft. For crafters: yellow ore goes into shields, launchers and body armour; black into melee weapons and boots; green into bows, throwing knives and gloves; blue into staffs and leg armour; red into firearms and helmets.
Where can I mine?
Only in the Crag Mine, a PvP zone where the races fight the mine war.
Where do I get a mining tool?
From the Ore Refiner NPC in each race's headquarters.
