Making chips
Since a lot of people do not know what to do with chip fragments or how to combine them, here is how it works.
Say we want a black grade A chip (there are also B and C, in every colour).
You need to collect fragments of the colour you want.
Combining also needs catalysts, gold and silver, sold by the merchant in headquarters.
Take the right number of each to the Hero NPC and combine them:
The operation costs a little money (100,000).
If the combination succeeds you get the item you wanted:
Now the grades and recipes — the higher the chip type, the greater the chance of failure:

How do you make an orange weapon with a lowered level requirement? Simple: you need an upgraded weapon (yellow), a weapon with a property (purple) and a chip (A for 35, B for 40, C for 45). Combine those three at the Hero — the success chance is not 100%.
Melee weapons use black chips, staves blue, bows green, firearms red, and launchers yellow.
